Measures Lp(a) and oxLDL — two markers a standard health check won't run — to show the inflammatory state of your vessels and the quality of your lipoproteins, not just how high your cholesterol is. Lp(a) is genetically determined, so testing once in a lifetime is enough.

Worth testing if:

  • Normal cholesterol, but a family history of early heart attack or stroke
  • Already on lipid-lowering medication, and you want to know how much residual risk is left
  • Long-term high stress, smoking, or metabolic syndrome
  • You want to establish a vascular health baseline while still symptom-free

What this test is for

From arterial inflammation and lipoprotein quality through to inherited risk — see your early vascular risk in one go.

This is more than a cholesterol check. It is a deeper assessment of whether you are in the low-grade chronic state of "arteries quietly inflaming" or "born with high cardiovascular risk".

Lipoprotein(a) — Lp(a) — is a cardiovascular risk factor that is highly genetically determined. Around 20–25% of Asians are born with a raised level, yet it is routinely overlooked.

2 biomarkers

Lp(a) — Lipoprotein(a)
An independent cardiovascular risk factor set by your genes and barely changing over a lifetime. A standard health check won't measure it, yet it explains the gap of "normal cholesterol but a family history all the same". Testing once in your life is enough.
oxLDL — Oxidized LDL
Once bad cholesterol is oxidized, it is the form that actually burrows into the vessel wall and starts plaque forming. This looks at the quality of your lipoproteins rather than the quantity.

Four steps to start your test

1

Order online, book a location

Choose your test and pick a blood-draw time and location that suits you as you order.

2

A 10-minute blood draw

When the time comes you just show up. A professional takes your sample — we handle the rest.

3

Accredited laboratory analysis

Samples are processed by accredited testing institutions and interpreted to standard protocols.

4

Digital report

Once complete, your report is uploaded to your personal account with values and reference ranges clearly marked.

Frequently asked questions

Normal cholesterol = healthy blood vessels?

Not necessarily. Some people have unremarkable cholesterol numbers yet raised Lp(a) or oxLDL, which pushes their risk of a cardiovascular event well beyond what was expected

I have no family history, so I don't need genetic markers?

Lp(a) is an independent risk factor closely tied to heredity. Even without a family history, a high level substantially raises the chance of early onset

I take supplements to lower cholesterol — isn't that enough?

It only works if you are treating the right thing. oxLDL tells you whether the quality of your lipoproteins is good and whether inflammatory pressure has improved. It isn't just about controlling the total — what matters more is controlling the source of the risk
