free T3, reverse T3 and Anti-TPO show whether thyroid hormone is genuinely being used by your body, and whether autoimmunity is attacking it. A standard health check measures TSH only and cannot see this layer.

Worth testing if:

  • Normal TSH, yet you still feel cold and tired, and your weight won't move either way
  • Hair loss, dry skin and low mood with no identifiable cause
  • Long-term high stress or dieting, and you worry metabolism has been turned down
  • A family history of thyroid disease

What this test is for

Three key markers — reverse T3, Anti-TPO and free T3 — reveal your real energy output, metabolic activity and resistance to inflammation.

This is not a thyroid test that only looks at TSH or T4. It is an in-depth assessment of whether energy metabolism is converting smoothly. Through reverse T3, Anti-TPO and free T3, it shows precisely whether metabolic blockage, immune interference or oxidative stress is slowing your overall function.

Thyroid function is like the master switch of the body, shaping your daily stamina, mood and metabolic efficiency. When the thyroid goes wrong it often doesn't break in a moment — it slows down and dulls bit by bit. Underactive thyroid function is a silent brake on metabolism that drags down your pace of life and drains your vitality. Seeing it early means adjusting early, so your energy actually gets used by your body

The metabolic brake that blocks free T3 from working, closely tied to stress and oxidative stress
Anti-TPO
Thyroid peroxidase antibody, an autoimmune marker that monitors the risk of your immune system attacking the thyroid

Frequently asked questions

My TSH is fine, so my thyroid must be fine?

Many sub-health problems come from T3 not activating properly or being blocked by rT3. A normal TSH doesn't mean thyroid function is trouble-free — rT3 build-up is common, particularly in women and in people under chronic stress.

Isn't a thyroid check something only a doctor needs to look at?

Correct, it is a clinical specialty — but you can know earlier whether you are heading toward a problem. This test exists so you can start repairing and optimizing before a problem becomes a disease

Does a high thyroid antibody mean I will get ill, or is it just constitution?

Anti-TPO signals whether your immune system is attacking itself. It is closely associated with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and autoimmune tendency, and the earlier you know, the more you can adjust lifestyle and anti-inflammatory strategy
