Functional medicine is really fascinating to me. Since I entered this field, it has not only helped myself, but also helped the people I love.

For as long as I can remember, mouth sores have been bothering me. Whenever I am tired or stressed, my entire mouth will become ulcerated. Whenever I eat or brush my teeth, the piercing pain makes me feel very distressed and painful. I even cried in a restaurant because it was so painful and I was very hungry. I have tried various mouthwashes, ulcer patches, etc., but the effects were not very good.

This problem has been bothering me for many years. Due to my work, I was exposed to potential food allergen testing, so I began to avoid these foods, which was also my first step to improve oral mucosal damage. Although I still have occasional oral mucosal damage, after all, I will definitely stay up late and have sudden stress in my life, but the frequency of occurrence has become less, and even if my mouth is broken, it recovers quickly. Because I started to improve, I actively wanted to know what other ways I could make my body better. Through testing, I accurately changed my eating habits. In addition to reducing foods that are not suitable for my body, I also started to eat more foods that are good for my body, such as fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins and minerals , increase nutrient supplements, regular exercise, and self-stress regulation. These efforts have brought me positive effects and improvements, allowing me to have a better mood and physical strength to face the challenges in life. I even started a cross-country life at the age of 40. In the past, I never dared to imagine that I would be able to run in the mountains one day. 

 

A profound understanding of the road to health

After a long period of practice, I deeply realized that avoiding potential food allergens can not only help improve mucosal damage, but also contribute to the health of the whole body and mental health. Even though these changes seem small, when combined, they can bring me huge benefits. I even feel that I am healthier in my forties than I was in my thirties. I am very grateful for the decision I made before, and I will continue to maintain this lifestyle and eating habits. I have always believed that every day I work hard for my body, I will definitely thank myself in the future.
